Books and / or products purchased through the website www.hemingway.cl They will be subject to the dispatch conditions available on the page. The information on the address or place of delivery is the sole responsibility of the user. The dispatch and delivery time is considered from the moment the payment is verified, in order to proceed with the shipment.
DELIVERY TERM
Once payment for the purchase of your book (s) is received, Hemingway will process the shipment as soon as possible, according to the status of the product and the delivery destination. The delivery time of each order is between 2 to 5 business days, being able to extend 10 additional business days in the case of more remote locations (regions of Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá, Aysén, Magallanes).
Dispatches will be made on days Tuesday and Friday of each week. Orders received on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be shipped on Tuesday morning, while orders placed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be shipped on Friday morning.
The delivery time of the order is Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and Saturday until noon for previously agreed dispatches. However, it should be noted that Saturday is not considered a business day. That is, a purchase made on Friday is processed as of Monday, when business hours begin to run. Likewise, a purchase made on Saturday and Sunday, although it is processed on Monday, the business hours begin to apply from Tuesday. It is important to consider that the companies that dispatch the orders do not perform the service on Sundays and holidays.
The shipping fee to pay, additional to the cost of the book or product, will depend on its weight. Another variable to consider is the geographical distance from Santiago, from where Hemingway books dispatches. For this reason, delivery times in the Metropolitan region (within a maximum of 2 business days) and the central area of the country are shorter than those of the rest of Chile, taking a little longer for extreme regions, as indicated above.
In the event of an additional delay in delivery times, be it due to weather reasons, transportation problems or otherwise, Hemingway bookstore will contact you by email to inform you if your shipment presents this situation.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS
The order will be delivered to the person who is at the address entered in the purchase confirmation email, who must sign the receipt and attach their RUT number. Therefore, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to be at home to receive their order. If this is not possible, you must inform in advance the name of a person authorized to receive it by sending an email to contacto@hemingway.cl (they can be family members or concierges).
Faced with two unsuccessful attempts to deliver the order, the company will contact the user by phone to coordinate a final delivery. In the event that CorreosChile cannot perform the service due to external factors (for example, that there is no one who receives the order at the indicated address, insufficient address, unknown address, among others), the order will be returned to the base office of distribution of the company, where it will remain 5 days waiting for its withdrawal. If in this period of time the product is not withdrawn either, it will be returned to Hemingway bookstore to reschedule its delivery with a date other than the initial one.
SHIPPING COSTS
- The shipping cost will be calculated considering the weight of the books and the location where you are.
- If your order considers more than one book or product in the shopping cart, the system will automatically add an additional value to calculate the shipping rate, each time the weight exceeds an extra kilo.
- Once your purchase is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number with which you can track your order.
